Summary of Responsibilities

To implement Yamaha’s sales and marketing policy for an assigned territory and to develop a dealer network capable of attaining corporate sales and marketing objectives and policies for Yamaha Motorsports & Outboard.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Achieve fiscal year sales targets. This includes maintaining and/or increasing wholesale and retail market share for Yamaha’s Motorcycle, ATV, Outboard, Side-by-side, Snowmobile, and Power Products product lines.
  • Establish a Territory Strategic Plan (TSP) based on the current condition of the MA and work closely with our existing dealers and/or prospective dealers to ensure we are moving our dealer development in the proper direction. Report status updates monthly.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with Yamaha dealers and head office by frequent dealer contact and visits with additional focus on Yamaha’s performance and recognition program metrics.
  • Responsible for cultivating & maintaining relationships with large corporate business partners.
  • Dealers contact and visits to be reported accordingly and on a consistent basis
  • Ensure Yamaha products are frequently and effectively promoted through dealer advertising, participation in trade and consumer shows and Yamaha promotions. Represent Yamaha by participation in trade and consumer shows, demo days, local user groups, clubs and events
  • Work cohesively with the Parts and Accessories staff within the territory to help ensure that the territory’s Parts and Accessories participation and corporate sales targets are being met.
  • Discuss B2B opportunities with your dealer network. Review the sales programs and ensure the dealer staff has a solid understanding and how to submit claims. Discuss unique opportunities with your RSM and internal stakeholders. Report knowledge of current and/or potential B2B opportunities.
Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma: Business Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Program of Study: Business administration
  • Years of Experience: 2 to 3
  • Type of Experience: Motorsports & Outboard expertise at dealer’s level or better
