Yamaha 2025 Scholarships

When the Scholarship committee was formed several years ago, we never thought it would grow as rapidly as it has. Over the last few years, we have been able to support many incredible students. With over $145,000.00 awarded, it has been such an incredible opportunity for Yamaha Canada to see how these scholarships impact the lives of these students.

The Yamaha 2024 scholarship is an incredible asset to my university education. It will help me to maintain a high academic average without the added pressure of a part time job. It also allows me to continue dedicating my time to the Women in Engineering organization at my university and other community groups. Additionally, it will help me to further my educational goals by allowing me to do a co-op abroad. I have a strong interest in studying coastal and shoreline engineering and restoration, and I love to travel and see the world!

The Scholarship Advisory Panel is made up of dedicated Yamaha employees from head office and our industry leading field team across Canada. These employees volunteer some of their time to make the final decision on the recipients. The selected group always looks for hard working, dedicated applicants with an enthusiasm for Yamaha within the submissions.

This scholarship will help me over the school year because it's truly motivated me to represent Yamaha well throughout my schooling! It's also given me a nice confidence boost, throughout my life, spare time and my education thus far, I've always wanted to help my community and I'm so thankful that this scholarship recognizes that! From a financial perspective this scholarship will allow me to focus on my education rather than having to work to earn money for the supplies I need for my classes.

We have 6 scholarships for 2025 in total, equaling $20,000 going toward furthering the education of the outstanding applicants. We look forward to reviewing for the fall/ winter 2025 semester and continuing to help the next generation of Yamaha enthusiasts for years to come.

Tim Kryski Scholarship – Do you reside in Newfoundland and Labrador? Are you currently enrolled at a Canadian College or University? Do you have a passion for the Powersport Industry? You could be eligible for the Tim Kryski Scholarship. With over 32 years as a District Sales Manager at Yamaha Motor Canada, Ltd., Tim Kryski embodied the Yamaha DNA through and through—all with a smile and a laugh that filled the room. Tim exhibited the guiding principles of the Yamaha Way. He was customer centric, results oriented, thought outside of the box, acted as a team player, committed to his promise, was an expert in his job and loved Yamaha. The Tim Kryski Scholarship is dedicated to Tim’s memory.

Chris Anderson Yamaha Memorial Scholarship – Enrolled full-time at any Canadian college, university, or post-secondary trade school for Fall 2025.

Technician Scholarship – Enrolled in a course/program to obtain the skills required to become a certified Motorsports/Marine technician at any Canadian college, university, or post-secondary trade school for Fall 2025.

Yamaha Scholarship – Full-time employee of an authorized Yamaha Dealership/OEM partner, Child/dependent of an authorized Yamaha Dealership/OEM partner employee/employee’s spouse, Child/dependent of a Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. employee/employee’s spouse .
