Warranty Claims Adjuster

Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. currently seeks a candidate for the position of Warranty Claims Adjuster for Service and Warranty.

Summary of Responsibilities

Process and handle the administration of warranty requests and support systems for all products.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify and process warranty requests to the dealers parts account. This includes administration for internal related warranty items (unit modification, internal department claims and Customer Relations goodwill case credits).
  • Maintain the warranty support system (including but not limited to symptom and condition codes, dealer analysis, shop labour rates) that can be utilized by service, warranty and customer relations staff.
  • Process dealer's subsequent owner form, retail demo transfers and provides NVIS for internal use in a timely manner. Assist dealers when there is a registration issue. Assist DSSG on dealer's inquiries in regards to registration process, YPP and claims
  • Handle the administration of "Foreign Units", verify warranty status, create debit/credit memos for the dealer parts accounts, prepare the warranty settlement for these units to factory and maintain the records for these units.
  • Monitor dealer's warranty, administration and document areas of concern and advise management. Assist field staff with the enforcement of warranty policies and procedures by dealers. Other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma is a minimum
  • 3+ years experience in motorsport or automotive warranty administration

Skills and Abilities

  • Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual, French and English is an asset.
