IT Support Analyst

Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. currently seeks a candidate for the position of IT Support Analyst for our Information TechnologyDepartment

Position Information

  • Title: IT Support Analyst
  • Department: Information Technology
  • Location: Toronto
  • Status: 6-month contract
  • Reports to: Manager, Information Technology

Summary of Responsibilities

Performs computer operation which includes scheduled job processing, report distribution, monitoring the network. Provides support to internal and external PC users. Provides coverage for night shift operation and month end processing. Assist to implement and change PC setup, configuration, LAN and related hardware.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help Desk - PC Support

    Determine and resolve PC and related hardware/software problems, arrange service for failed equipment. Learn and acquire knowledge and information from documentation as well as outside source to resolve new and existing hardware and software setup situations. Report outstanding issues to management and provide updates to the involved users. Maintain the PC operation manual, proper documentation for setup and configuration.

  • Help Desk - Network Support

    Assist LAN administrator to implement, modify, add and trouble shoot the PC/LAN software, network and hardware setup. Ensure changes and implementations are within the standard.

  • Help Desk - Dealer Support

    Provide support and setup YDS for dealers. Determine cause of dealer problems and provide technical support to resolve the issues.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma: College Diploma
  • Field of Study: Information Technology
  • Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience
  • Type of Experience: Help Desk PC Support

Skills & Abilities

  • Overtime required as follows:
    • night shift coverage 4-6 weeks per year
  • Help Desk After Hours On Call Support
    • 1 week every 3 weeks
    • 5-9 pm weeknights Monday to Friday
    • 10-4 am Saturdays
