This system carries out the detection of ion current growing combustion, and controls the combustion (ignition timing).
Just after sparking, the primary charge voltage of ignition is given to the central electrode of the spark plug and ion current grown during combustion is detected.
The detected ion current is sent to the ECM which uses the signal to control fuel injection volume and ignition timing.
