Summary of Responsibilities

Supervise the Corporate Marketing Team, encompassing social media, content creation, dealer marketing (including co-op advertising), and national events and partnerships. Collaborate with the Product Marketing Team and Manager, Product & Corporate Marketing to ensure the department is aligned and operating effectively and efficiently to achieve corporate objectives. Act as PIM (Product Information Management) owner at YMCA, working closely with the PIM Manager at YMUS to maintain information in the system as it pertains to the Canadian market. Oversee activities associated with Yamaha Motor Adventures and the Yamaha Financial Services Stay Outdoors program. Demonstrate and embody The Yamaha Way in all daily activities.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Corporate Marketing team to ensure performance supports Yamaha’s marketing strategy and departmental objectives related to the Mid Term Plan (MTP). Assist team in prioritization of projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines and successful outcomes. Ensure their efforts embody the Yamaha Way when interacting with dealers, consumers, media and partners.
  • Act as Yamaha’s media agency liaison. Provide insights on corporate priorities and/or brand strategy. Communicate monthly submission requirements to the marketing team and ensure timely submission.
  • Oversee use of the InRiver PIM for the Canadian market. Use the Model Sync Sheet (attribute Dictionary + data governance tool) to maintain data fields, completeness criteria, users, restrictions etc. based on YMCA’s evolving business needs.
  • Lead and administer the Yamaha Financial Services Stay Outdoors Program. Develop marketing materials and communications, oversee the application process, and organize committee review. Follow up on projects and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Lead and direct Yamaha Motor Adventures initiative. Oversee Yamaha-owned operations and build program to include additional partners to generate new customer growth. Provide support and administration to site operators as required.
  • Assist Product Marketing team with projects and assignments as required to provide support and coverage during peak periods, travel and vacation.
  • Provide administrative support to Manager, Product & Corporate Marketing, including content review and approval.
  • Assist with implementation of marketing projects and initiatives, as required.
Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma: Bachelor’s degree or diploma
  • Program of Study: Marketing
  • Years of Experience: 1-3 years related experience

  • A comprehensive understanding of the industry and our customer.
  • Proven leadership skills/experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills and outgoing personality
  • Proficient in business and creative writing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
  • Excellent in MS Office and basic understanding of Adobe CS, Social media savvy.
Travel/Overtime Requirements
  • Occasional travel in support of conferences, shows and new product launches.
